Best No-Fee HYSAs
18 accounts · Updated daily · Verified APYs
Every account on this page has a $0 monthly maintenance fee. We re-verify the fee structure every time the published rate moves and de-list any bank that introduces a balance-tier penalty.
A "no-fee" HYSA does not just mean no maintenance fee. We also exclude accounts that charge for outbound ACH, paper statements, or below-minimum balance penalties. The ranking below is sorted by current APY among the survivors.

Frequently asked
Are no-fee HYSAs really free?
The accounts on this page have no monthly maintenance fee and no minimum balance fee. Some may still charge for wire transfers or expedited ACH — those are optional services and not part of the everyday cost of keeping the account open.
Do no-fee accounts have lower APYs?
No. As of April 2026, several of the highest-yielding accounts in our dataset are also fee-free. The trade-off banks make is usually around branch access or check-writing, not yield.
How often do these rates change?
We refresh every rate on this page once per day via direct scraping of the bank's rate disclosure page. The "updated" badge next to each APY shows exactly when we last verified it.
Are these accounts FDIC-insured?
Yes. Every bank on this list is FDIC-insured up to $250,000 per depositor, per ownership category, except where labeled NCUA (credit unions, also $250,000 federal share insurance).
